CLASSIFICATION INTO SMALLER GROUPS
A species is a set of beings which are physically similar and which reproduce among themselves and produce fertile descendants. 
Each scientific name includes two words: Homo sapiens, Passer domesticus, Pistacia lentiscus 
Several species can be joined into a genus, several genus are grouped into a order, orders into a class, classes into a type and finally types are grouped into a kingdom.
